I’d just like to say…thanks for nothing! Sheesh. I did have three of you share with me privately through emails, texts or in person about your ideas on sibling issues after my post “Your Turn”.
The gist went something like this:
1. Wait ’til they grow up! (Thank you, Mrs. Stevinson!)
2. Noticeable improvement in sibling interaction can be seen when one sibling is in charge of choosing the movie.(Thank you, Gina!)
3. Love and Logic has great ideas (Thanks, Linda!)
4. The book Making Brothers and Sisters Best Friends by Sarah, Harold and Stephen Mally has given one mom hope! We’ll have to see how things continue to go for her…(Thanks, Annie!)
The rest of you, well…I think it’s obvious that this subject is a challenge for all of us! Sigh…
Let’s just call it character building (for us and them!) and move onward!
Also, I find quoting this verse often (out-loud and to myself!) helps:
First Thessalonians 5:11
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are (should be!!) doing.” I added something there.
Onward and Upward!
